Witch Way to the candy? Halloween weekend is almost here, and there are plenty of places to take your kids trick-or-treating this year. To make it easier for busy parents, we’ve rounded up the best places and events to take your little ghouls candy hopping. From the L.A. Zoo to Knott’s Spooky Farm, here is a list of the best events to take your kids trick-or-treating around Southern California.

Boo at the L.A. Zoo

Kids of all ages are sure to have a howling of a good time at the annual Boo at the L.A. Zoo event. During the last week of October, kids will get to trick-or-treat throughout the zoo with the event’s different treat stations. There are numerous activities planned throughout the event, including special animal pumpkin feedings, themed photo ops, education stations, and more. Tickets required. Cemetery Lane Trick R Treat Experience

Take your kids back in time to the Victorian era with the Cemetery Lane Trick R Treat Experience at Heritage Square in Los Angeles. This event is an hour-long and features 13 themed trick-or-treating stops. Tickets required. Location: Heritage Square, 3800 Homer Street, Los Angeles, California 90031.

Treat & Trail, Pics & A Flick at One Colorado

Spend your Halloween evening on the famous Colorado Blvd., in Pasadena. Dress up in your spookiest costumes and take the kids trick-or-treating around the stores and restaurants located on Colorado Blvd. After your little ones have stuffed their bags full of sweet treats, head to the Halloween-themed photo area for a family photo opportunity and a screening of the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus. Knott’s Spooky Farm

Your kids will have a spooktacular Halloween weekend at the Knott’s Spooky Farm event. For children ages 3-11, this event will provide trick or treating through the park’s Ghost Town area. Kids will be thrilled because Halloween-themed shows and the Halloween Hootenanny is back at the Timber Mountain Log Ride. Tickets and reservations required. Treats on the Street

On Halloween night, take the kids on a stroll through Downtown Brea and collect treats at the Treats on the Street event. Hosted by Downtown Brea’s businesses, this is a one-day event only. No reservations required. Location: W. Birch St & S Brea Blvd, Brea, CA. 

Glendora Village Halloween Block Party

The Glendora Village Halloween Block Party is the perfect event if you have preschool or elementary-aged children. Spend the day trick-or-treating at the Halloween Block Party. And be sure to dress up your little ones and have them take a picture with Glendora Village’s costumed characters. No reservations required. Location: 148 N. Glendora Ave., Glendora, CA, 91741.

Temecula’s Halloween Carnival

Fun for the whole family, the City of Temecula’s Halloween Carnival features carnival games, trick-or-treating, and spooky Halloween activities for kids. Get creative because there will also be a costume contest for kids. No tickets or reservations required. Location: Town Square Park, 41000 Main St. Temecula, CA, 92590.
