I have been wearing gloves for the last few weeks and wanted to share how wonderful my hands are looking protected under latex-free gloves in blue, of course, to match most of my clothing.
If you give it some thought, our hands are doing many different things during the day….such as driving, washing dishes, hugging your kids, brushing your teeth and cooking, doing laundry and cleaning the house!
Yet with everything we are doing these days we don’t have a lot of time to take care of our hands the way we should. For many of us, washing our hands every hour and using alcohol-based hand sanitizer, is wreaking havoc on the skin of our hands. I should also mention here how much I love gloves! I have them in several lengths, in several different colors, and in several different fabrics. I have fingerless gloves, tea-length gloves, warm winter gloves, and lace gloves. I actually have a drawer full of gloves that’s how much I love them and hope they make a comeback like in the ’50s!
The reason that my hands are looking so much better these days is because they are protected from the air, and the free radicals that are in the air.
Hands are a tell-tale sign of your age. As you get older you will notice the skin on your hands will thin and lose elasticity. If you use a good hand cream and keep your hands protected you will be very surprised at how wonderful your hands will age… or not age!
Below I’m recommending a few of my favorite hand creams that will envelop your hands with softness while protecting the skin, which can be found on Amazon and delivered directly to your door.
A drugstore favorite is CeraVe Therapeutic Hand Cream – a 3 oz tube for $10.99
with hyaluronic acid which attracts and holds water in the skin.
A department store cult favorite is Clarins Creme Jeunesse des Mains – 3.4 oz tube for around $40. This hand cream even helps with age spots!
One of my favorite clean brands! Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream – $10 for a 1 oz travel size tube – the perfect size to keep in your bag or desk drawer!
Remember wearing gloves protects your hands as well as protecting you from the virus. Wear gloves for two weeks and you too will see the difference!
