Love Yourself this Valentine’s Day 💖

As I walk down the aisles in CVS full of Valentine’s Day candy I am reminded of how wonderful Valentine’s Day is when you are a child! I asked my son what kind of Valentine’s Day card and candy he wanted to send his friends this year and of course, he immediately named his favorite candy Skittles!

Since we’re a few days away from Valentine’s Day I figured it was a good idea for us to get a jump on the best selection. As we were writing out our cards I was thinking about Valentine’s Day and it’s meaning, how it’s not just for amorous lovers. Valentine’s Day is also for friends and other people in your life that you are grateful for and that includes YOURSELF! So this year I’d like to launch a “Love Yourself” campaign for Valentine’s Day where we moms take time out to do something for ourselves on Valentine’s Day; a reward for all the work we do throughout the year to make sure our kids are taken care of, as well as a spouse, partner, family members and other special people in our life.  Maybe give yourself a pedicure, or a massage, or a new makeup and skincare routine. How about a new hairstyle – maybe go for a blunt-cut bob or a short pixie – something new and fresh!

The “Love Yourself” campaign is meant to make sure you take good care of number one – you! Because as my kids always say “if Mom is sick nothing else will get done”!
